Summer Camps
Our Summer Programs
From the daring, teenage adventure-lovers to the littlest of campers, we offer a variety of summer camp programs for different interests and age groups!
A one or two-week experience for kids ages 8-17 where campers enjoy activities like archery, caving, rock climbing, campfires, lake days, games, and crafts. Classic Campers explore a variety of activities, including drama, air guns, swimming, arts & crafts, and camp-wide games. Two-week campers get additional adventure activities, cookouts, talent shows, worship, and camp outs.
On The Edge (OTE) offers youth groups a chance to experience a five-day summer camp together, led by Ligonier staff. Unlike typical camps with individually registered campers, OTE allows leaders to bring their own students and chaperones. While much of the programming is exclusive to OTE, some activities coincide with Classic Camp. Prepare for an adventure-filled day and a life-changing experience!
Next Level is offered to kids ages 12-17 and is run through the Joshua House Lodge. Next Level is an adventure-intensive camp, with a focus on activities like ziplining, white water rafting, Lake Day, mountain biking, high ropes courses, climbing, and overnight camping. Next Level campers also participate in some Classic Camp activities, including snacking at the HUB, camp-wide games, and Lig Live.
Lives of campers, families, and staff have been transformed at camp. As part of the Ligonier Camp staff, you’ll be challenged mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We invest in our staff for a summer of ministry and a lifetime of Christ-centered service in various spheres of life.
Each year, Ligonier Camp hires over 100 college and high school students, who serve families and campers as mentors and facilitators while gaining leadership and problem-solving skills.
Little Ligs camp is designed for first-time campers ages 6-8, offering a fun, faith-building two-night experience.
Activities mimic many Classic Camp activities including creek hikes, pool time, group games, archery, arts & crafts, Bible study, skits, dance, songs, and campfires, all tailored for their age group.
Family Camp is a program for parents and children to share the traditional Ligonier Camp experience together. Try everything from tubing to the zip-line, family-centered Bible studies, and sing and dance at our high-energy evening program, Ligonier Live.
Families will enjoy the care of our staff who here to help with the day’s activities. And with separate kid’s programming and adult sessions, parents and children alike will enjoy all that camp has to offer!
OUR CORE VALUES
The Four Cs guide how we create and lead programs at Ligonier Camp to create transformational experiences in these four categories.
WHAT CAMPERS DO
What makes us different at Ligonier Camp is that we structure our activities around a focus on Adventure Education, while using our Core Four Values to guide activities and conversations. Campers at Ligonier Camp gets to participate in a wide variety of activities that are both in their comfort zone and ones that push them to challenge themselves to try something new.
Adventure
Campers get a rock climbing, bouldering, and/or a high-ropes adventure experience while at camp with other bonus activities depending on the program that they attend. Our adventure activities are followed up with intentional conversations called “debriefs” where counselors will help campers talk through what they learned and relate it to their life and faith in Jesus.
Bible Studies & Ligonier Live
Bible studies with huddles are one of the daily activities that kids will get to be a part of at camp. Counselors are trained to lead these bible studies with our camp curriculum written by our year-round staff.
Ligonier Live! is one of our high-energy evening programs filled with singing, dancing, Bible skits & talks, and worship music.
Camp Activities
There are so many activities that campers get to participate in during their time at camp. Here are just a few: target sports, camp-wide games, team sports, arts & crafts, creek walks, rest hour, and so many more activities!
Water Activities
We have a separate lake property that we bus campers to for a Lake Day during their time at camp. Campers also get pool time, water slide time, and creek walks for lots of variety in water activities while they are here at Ligonier Camp.
WHERE THEY LIVE
Cabins
Campers in Classic Camp, Little Ligs, and some Family Camp Sessions get to live in our rustic camp cabins. Our bathhouses are affectionately called the KYBO and are used for the cabins. Campers are able to store their toiletries in cubbies in the KYBOs.
Joshua House & Lamont Lodge
Campers in OTE, Family Camp, and Next Level get to stay in either the Joshua House or the Lamont Lodge (depending on your session of camp) which is Air Conditioned with suite-style rooms & lounge common areas.
