EPiC Retreat

Presbytery of the Alleghenies

2025 winter Youth Retreat

January 24-26, 2025

What is the EPiC retreat?
The EPiC Retreat is a weekend winter retreat hosted by Ligonier Camp and Conference Center. Attendees will participate in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the weekend and will attend evening worship, speaker sessions, and discussion times with their small groups.

Who is EPiC for?
The EPiC retreat is designed for middle and high school students from throughout the Presbytery of the Alleghenies. Each church is responsible for registering their students and providing adult chaperones for the retreat. We recommend a 5:1 student-to-adult ratio.

What does it cost? $130 / person. Each participant will also need to complete a Ligonier Camp & Conference Center Release of Liability. To register your group, simply fill out the online form below. If you have questions or concerns contact Tim Habecker (thabecker@ligoniercamp.org) or Michelle Jinks (mjinks@ligoniercamp.org).

YOUTH PASTORS and/or GROUP LEADERS: 1) REGISTER YOUR GROUP’S PLANNED ATTENDANCE BY FILLING OUT THE FORM BELOW! 2) LOOK FOR A REPLY FROM LIGONIER CAMP. 3) START SIGNING UP STUDENTS! REFER TO THIS PAGE FOR DETAILS AND RESOURCES.

CALEB MUSSELMAN - Speaker

Caleb Musselman is a busy guy. He is the pastor of The Soma Gathering, a church plant in the city of Beaver Falls, PA. In addition to that Caleb also ministers to students at Geneva College through the CCO. Of course he also lives in Beaver Falls with his wife and two kids. There is a high likelihood that Caleb is a better soccer player than you are. With all he has going on, we’re thrilled he’s able to speak at the EPiC Retreat!

MATTHEW JONES - Worship Leader

Matthew Jones is an EPiC veteran. He and a few friends return to lead worship this year. Matthew is both a youth leader and worship leader at Bellefield EPC on corner of Fifth and Thackeray in Oakland.

WHY “MULTIPLY?”

Multiplication is one of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s four “Gospel Priorities.” The primary way that the Gospel Priority of Multiplication is implemented is by church planting (hence, Caleb Musselman…pastor of a church plant). Granted, most of our students are not destined to become church planters, but we all have a lot to learn about how we live out, speak about, and share the gospel in ways that win others to Jesus. The Great Commission is to “go and make disciples,” in effect multiplying the Kingdom of God.
